Any bands who are
interested in playing at Sushi Blues Cafe should send an e-mail with
webpage links to king@sushiblues.com
All band requests are listened to and are
considered. If after sending an email a band does not hear from
Sushi Blues within 2 days, then Sushi Blues is not interested in having
your band perform. Do not call the restaurant directly with your
questions.
Sushi
Blues Cafe band policy:
1.
To be considered bands must have a webpage or myspace page with mp3
song samples and also youtube videos.
2. Groups
performing at a restaurant volume.
3. Musicians play for tips only
and for food. (The waiters work for tips and the musicians work
for tips). A sandwich or
a sushi roll (per musician) is
provided after the
gig (no
booze provided).
4. 2 sets - 9:30pm until
11:30pm (1st set 9:30 - 10:15; 30 minute break; 2nd set 10:45 - 11:30).
5. Sound checks are at 5pm only.
6. Microphones provided with a
house PA.
7. Musicians bring their own
instrument amps.
8. Fans that come
will be
required to eat and drink.
9. No sitting-in or
open mic.
10. CD sales encouraged.
11. Bands must provide their own posters.
12. This is an easy gig and bands will be treated with respect.
13. If personal disagreements happen between Sushi Blues and the
musicians
than Sushi Blues has the right to cancel any performance or
performances with a four hour notice. This policy is also for bad
weather forcasts.
14. Sushi Blues allows musicians to play for free on a week to
week basis with no long term commitments.
